A delightful short trekking route of the captivating Annapurna Geographical location in Nepal. The Mardi Himal Trekking trail is popular among trekkers in Nepal following the Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek. Let's Trek Himalayas travel specialists have crafted a fascinating itinerary that includes the best of Annapurna in a single, quick trekking trip of a picturesque Mardi mountain.

Travel enthusiasts reach the base camp of the tenth-tallest mountain on the planet in masses. Visualize having the opportunity to view the base camp from above. Hello, the Mardi Himal Trek allows hikers to view the Annapurna Base Camp from the summit.

A small number of travelers travel to the high camp of the magnificent Mardi Himal and the majestic Machapuchhre, but interest in this breathtaking route is growing quickly. This weeklong trek should be on the travel plans of anyone searching for a quick voyage in Nepal that is genuinely off the beaten path because it is less strenuous than the trek to the nearby Annapurna Base Camp but just as stunning.

Evolution of Mardi Himal Trek

For a very long period of time, the Mardi Himal Trek was only accessible by small traveling factions with temporary shelters and food vendors. Since there is still grazing available in the summer, the trail follows well-traveled shepherd trails.

The trek hasn't changed since it was formally inaugurated in 2012. Basic amenities for tea houses are scarce. This is a quick, remote, and reasonably convenient trek close to Pokhara.

However, it is very diversified, offering unique traditions, lovely vegetation wanders, and mountainous scenery. As the trail mostly follows the mountain, the ascent becomes more gradual.

Route Overview of Mardi Trekking

Mardi Himal High Camp is scenically located at an altitude of 3850 meters. This is the maximum campsite along the route. Machhapuchhre appears to be right up close oneself and Annapurna South appears close enough that anyone is surprised as it seems like a jump away.

Pokhara serves as both the starting point and finish of the trek. The trek begins at the lovely lakeside of Phewa Lake. Since boating is famous in Pokhara we argue that if anyone can easily resist, we will move towards Kande with breathtaking views of the trail's snow-capped mountains, and we will eventually arrive in Pothana. From Low Camp, we will travel on the road to High Camp.

After three to four days of hiking, you will reach stunning mountain scenery with lush green hills and wanders through a lush forest with lovely oak and rhododendron trees. Indeed, will be a wonderful experience to see the highlands of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Mt. Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), and Manaslu in the direction of the trail.

The Mardi Himal Trek is the quickest trekking route, starting from Pokhara and ascending to an average elevation of 4500 meters in just 8 days. We would therefore recommend this trek to every visitor since it is one of the preferred trekking trails in the Annapurna region.

Where is Mardi Himal Trek Located?

Mardi Himal Trek lies in an Annapurna Conservation Area where thousands of hikers visit the Annapurna region, Mardi Himal is getting 5 percent of visits compared to the major Annapurna route. The trekking trail can be combined with Annapurna Base Camp or Annapurna Circuit or follow a slightly different route with the least crowds and equally or even more picturesque trail.

Machhapuchhre; Fish Tail Mountain, one of the enormous mountains in the Annapurna Massif, keeps watching over the Mardi Himal Trek. Numerous stone homes, charming teahouses, and numerous rock cairns can be found along this trek. The trail for this trek can be found just off the main trail to Annapurna Base Camp. It is a well-liked substitute for treks in the Annapurna regions.

Mardi Trek is gaining popularity

As Lets Trek Himalayas focuses on promoting off-the-beaten trails of Nepal, it is the arguable point whether promoting these treks is beneficial or not. Yes, at some point many travelers are seeking more beautiful destinations to trek and enjoy their travel continuously, and spending money on highly populated areas is not everyone's cup of tea as the untouched beauty is always best and at its purest. Major trekking routes in Nepal are already popular but road construction, upgrading to higher facilities, and changing the Shape of Nature are somehow disturbing the beauty of those trails.

Unlike with Mardi Himal, few people know about the trek and are often quiet and calm, Let Mardi be at its best and trek to Mardi with responsibility as responsible tourism. Let’s Trek Mardi but not let the popularity change its natural state.
