Mera Peak is a summit that is located in the Manalangur division, Barun sub-division, and Nepal Sagarmatha National Park in Solukhumbu District. situated at 6476 meters high, East of the primary Khumbu trekking trail in the Everest region. We tackle Mera Central, which is 6,461 meters, on our expedition. Col. Jimmy Roberts and Sen Tenzing made the first climb of Mera Central on May 20, 1953.
The Khumbu region's easiest climbing expedition is undoubtedly Nepal's climb of Mera Peak. It leads hikers to the enigmatic Hinku Valley in the Everest region. Mera is distinct from Everest since there is less trekking and peak climbing there. It travels through the villages of Khare, Thagnak, and Paiya via undiscovered pathways.
Even though climbing is not technically complex, climbers shouldn't undervalue the exercise. The trail is littered with crevasses. Therefore, it is imperative to follow the climbing Sherpa's directions. The scenery on Mera is what I find most fascinating. Unquestionably, spending the night in a tent while gazing up at the stars bestows the Alpine experience.
Mera Peak Trekking Route
The Mera Peak Climbing Route brings you to Nepal's tallest trekking peak. Mera Peak is an easy-to-climb peak in the Everest region's Hinku Valley and a well-liked climbing destination.
The trail to Mera Peak is off the beaten path in the relatively remote Hinku Valley. The trail is isolated, the surroundings are untamed and clean, and there are not many residential areas. You'll spend most of your nights in teahouses at yak herders' summer camps or remote kharkas.
After spending the night camped at Mera High Camp, you undertake your summit push (5,780m). There is hardly much technical climbing on the descent route. The only two things that will make your approach challenging are the thin alpine air and the freezing temperatures.
The view of the Himalayas from the summit is breathtaking. Mount Everest and other peaks rising to 8,000 meters near the summit may be seen if the weather supports you. You follow the same path back to Lukla as you return.
The climber's safety is of utmost importance and is given top priority while trekking and climbing. A knowledgeable native Sherpa climber leads our Mera Peak Climbing with over decades of climbing experience.
