Depending on the trip package, the kind of hotel, and the services being reserved, the single supplement's cost may fluctuate.

Single supplement costs can be quite significant, with some tour operators charging as much as 50-100% more for a single occupancy room. This can make it difficult for solo travelers to afford to take a trip.

Trip Details

Difficulty of the Poon Hill Trek

The Poon Hill trek is the quickest but most picturesque trekking in the Annapurna area. The Poon Hill trek is low to moderate in difficulty. Because the route maintains you grounded at lower elevations, the duration of the hike is shorter, and the landscape you'd be traveling on is appropriate, it's great for first-time trekkers or those who aren't prepared mentally to go on intense and longer treks.

the hike is challenging for those who don't prepare and take it lightly; it has many steps and necessitates waking up during the middle of the night to reach the peak but the sunrise view over mount Annapurna and other ranges will heal all the pain and make everything worth it at the end.

The difficulty of the journey depends on how your physical level and fitness, although it indicates easy-moderate, Lets Trek Himalayas will recommend planning for the trek ahead of time and being physically healthy. No matter what the guidebook and travel agency say, the Himalayas are not for the faint of heart. and at a certain time, we climb 3400 stairs or trek for 7-8 hours.

Food and Drinks available in Ghorepani Poonhill trekking

You will get to eat all your meals at Tea House in a Poon Hill trek. The menus and costs appear to be rigorously controlled by the authorities and are closely related to the teahouse's height. The families freshly make the cuisine. Everything you eat during the trial is wonderfully good.

Poon Hill Trek provides a plethora of options. Across the trek, Nepalese traditional cuisine, continental, Indian, and international cuisine are available. Dal Bhat is the traditional Nepali special and offers unlimited supplies of rice, lentil soup, vegetable curry, spinach, and Chatni, a spicy and tasty flavor. Dal Bhat is a surefire winner. Every teahouse we went to for breakfast, lunch, or supper had the same menu.

Momos are also prominent steamed dumplings that can be filled with either meat or vegetables, Pancakes, mashed potatoes, fried rice, apple pie, and chow mien are all excellent options. Western dishes, such as pizza and pasta, are made fresh with a Nepali twist.

Remember that your order normally takes an hour to prepare which is the reason our guide orders a meal ahead of time. Because the menu is very much the same throughout. There are a few little teahouses along the way that serve mineral water, beverages, and snacks. You won't be able to stay longer without purchasing food, drinking water, and beverages. To prevent the trash problem faced with plastic bottles, we strongly advise using a filtration system to purify a water bottle before drinking water. Refilling your water bottle is possible at all of the stations.

Accommodation while trekking in Poonhill

Starting your accommodation with a 3-star hotel in Kathmandu we will start the trail with the Tea House overnight. every small and large community along the trail has a tea house. These Tea Houses are often operated by one family. We provide individual rooms that are nice and comfortable, with two beds and clean sheets. the evenings are colder at higher altitudes, you will be required to add a sleeping bag to your packing list. It depends on the construction of the tea house in Poon Hill whether you share a shower or a bathroom.

The tea houses provide you with wi-fi and charging facilities throughout the small shops and Tea House and hot water is available during your accommodation in Tea House and all of this cost you an extra dollar for each. A hot shower is a tea house occasionally a bucket of hot water for a dollar.

Best Season to trek to Poon Hill

The ideal seasons to visit Poon Hill are April to May and September to early December. The weather is beautiful right now, the sky is clean, and it's not excessively freezing. Expect bright warm days of roughly 18 to 15 degrees and evenings closer to freezing. The Rhododendrons are one of the highlights of the hike and recommend trekking in March or April to experience them blooming.

Wearing trousers and T-shirts during the daytime and long-sleeved sweaters with a fleece jacket in the afternoon and early dawn during the hiking season. The Tea House is comfortable in the evenings when the fireplace is lit, and indeed the beds are cold but not freezing if you bring a nice sleeping bag.

The walk becomes difficult in the wintertime because of freezing temperatures and snowfall, and in the warmer months because of the monsoon rains, the routes become wet and treacherous. From November to February, temperatures will be fairly chilly, and considerable snowfall may cause problems at higher altitudes. That brings March through May and September through October for enjoyable hiking in Nepal.
